Now working as his butler, Sebastian must help the Earl Phantomhive in this suspenseful, exciting, thriller manga.

Just a stone's throw from London lies the manor house of the illustrious Phantomhive earldom and its master, one Ciel Phantomhive. Earl Phantomhive is a giant in the world of commerce, Queen Victoria's faithful servant...and a slip of a twelve-year-old boy. Fortunately, his loyal butler, Sebastian, is ever at his side, ready to carry out the young master's wishes. And whether Sebastian is called to save a dinner party gone awry or probe the dark secrets of London's underbelly, there apparently is nothing Sebastian cannot do. In fact, one might even say Sebastian is too good to be true...or at least, too good to be human...
Black Butler, or Kuroshitsuji, was my first anime. As a 31 year old woman, I think I have fallen behind the game a bit. I asked younger friends for recommendations and this was right up there.

So I watched Black Butler and I couldn't get enough! But this is not a review of the is a review of the manga ;)

When I found I couldn't get enough of the anime and had read that it differentiated a bit from the manga, I knew I had to try reading manga also(another first for me). I immediately purchased this book, and at $6.66(cute, guys) it was half the price of going to my local B&N to purchase it. Prime membership made it worthwhile; otherwise I think I might have just gone and picked it up. It seems like shipping would have been several dollars.

As a conventional reader of novels, my instinct is to READ. I am not accustomed to looking at pictures. The art in this is beautiful, however, and while it might be difficult for some, myself included, please try to take the time to slow down and enjoy the ride. I never knew such beautiful "graphic novels" were out there.

It would seem I have been under a rock for the past 20 years, and I am glad to have been brought out from under it!
I love Kuroshitsuji (aka. Black Butler). I saw the anime many years ago and decided it was time to relive the experience in a different medium. The manga takes longer to get into the premise so the chapters prior to that made the series feel too comical. Once we got into it though, it was just like the series I remember.
My twin sister is a HUGE black butler fan, and she will LOVE this. I ordered my manga from the Book Depository, and it arrived two weeks before the expected date! I am so pleased! The packaging was good, and I even received a free book mark! The only reason I'm not giving this buy five stars is because the book was slightly scratch on the binding, when it was suppose to be brand new. I hope my sister doesn't notice- regardless I know she'll love it.
I didn't think I would be a fan of graphic novels and anime but OH MY! I love this series! I suggest it to anyone who likes either! It has such a great story line and always keeps you on the edge of your seat. I suggest if you read the first book, you should just jump straight on in and get the entire series. It's worth it!
"Black Butler" sneaks up on you. Just when you think there's nothing more here than a story about a butler and his master, you find out there is. And you want to keep reading.
The wear on the spine was barely noticeable and I only looked because another review had pointed it out, I still gave it five stars though. I wish there was color, to do the book justice but it is just fine without it.
bought the first 6 volumes ???? i’m definitely going to buy all of them!
This was a Christmas gift for my sister and she absolutely loved It. Great quality and in perfect condition!
