World Is New e-book

by Lorraine Sinkler,Joel S. Goldsmith

Joel S. Goldsmith was born in New York City on March 10, 1892. In 1948 Goldsmith wrote the book The Infinite Way, which came to the attention of Willing Publishers.

Joel S. His parents were non-practicing Jews, who were married in New York City in 1891. Joel was their first child. They had another son two years later, followed by a daughter two years thereafter. In 1915, Joel's father became critically ill while in England and word was sent to the Goldsmith family to come for the body.

This is the key question that Joel Goldsmith answers in Living by the Word. Throughout the book, Goldsmith considers specific Scriptural passages and takes the reader far beyond their literal sense to unveil their inner spiritual meaning. He gives thorough and practical instruction about how to work with Bible passages to discern their depth and live by them Goldsmith explains that the spiritual promises in Scripture apply to us only when we are in our spiritual oneness with God and receive them as impartations from within.

The result of this spiritual discovery is Living Between Two Worlds.

The quest continued, and one morning, as he awakened on the island of Maui, the secret revealed itself in a flood of gradual unfoldments. The result of this spiritual discovery is Living Between Two Worlds. This book shows us how to live a more fulfilling and spiritual life at home and at work, without neglecting daily responsibilities.

I love all Joel Goldsmith's books. This book explains the relationship between self and the Divine self within and the true oneness of all creation.

Lorraine Sinkler was Joel Goldsmith's secretary for many years and probably knew Joel as well as. .I have read so many of Joel Goldsmith's book. For me; it was great to read about the man. Who he was as the man did not take away any thing from the man's spiritual work.

Lorraine Sinkler was Joel Goldsmith's secretary for many years and probably knew Joel as well as anyone.

Beyond Words and Thoughts is based on classes that Joel Goldsmith gave after he had received the call from within to lift students out of the metaphysical level of consciousness into the mystical. In the book, he explains that in the metaphysical state of awareness, we use the mind to demonstrate health, wealth, and other material things, or try to use God to overcome evil. But when we attain the mystical consciousness, he says, we relax in the Presence of an inner Grace and let It function

Each year of the letters singularly focuses on and develops a spiritual theme that conveys to the read the depth of Joel's realization of Truth.

Incredible book that I was ready to discover and read at this time in my Spiritual growth. Many of my questions were answered and truly the explanations had to be, as always with Joel, Divinely inspired. Listening to one of his tapes where he tells of a new book titled "The World is New" that was to be published, was the inspiration to order it. It will be reread again and again.
JSG once said his best were Practicing the Presence and The Contemplative Life, but this is an astonishing volume -- and a favorite of this reader.

Nobody can review JSG. But perhaps a little help from his friends will suffice:

"Thy will be done" makes heaven and earth one--not two; so sees Joel Goldsmith. "The Father and I are One" is the sameness of the earthly body and the heavenly body. Omnipresence sees "no other gods before me; it means that wherever God is I AM, because God is unfolding as my divine and perfect Self, ever present and new.

When we think we're separate, we lose power. ~ Rodney Collin.

We must dare all things. It is our duty as men and women to proceed as though the limits of our abilities do not exist. ~ Teilhard de Chardin

You are what you want to become. Why search anymore? You are a wonderful manifestation. The whole universe has come together to make your existence possible. There is nothing that is not you. The Kingdom of God, the Pure Land, nirvana, happiness and liberation are all you. -- Thich Nhat Hanh
This book was in good condition, as the seller said, I was very pleased with the book, I enjoyed reading it and I would purchase from this seller again.
Each time you read any of his books, it is as if for the first time; it is always new, as it hits a new level in your own consciousness. The truth he presents penetrates into deeper levels with each time you read the same book.
I am eternally grateful to Joel Goldsmith for all his writings. Each chapter opened something new to me. Too much to take in in one reading, I want to read it again!
Refreshing truth!!!
As with all Goldsmith books that I've read--and I've read and own probably more than two dozen--the material is truly inspirational and can be life changing. But, having said that, if you own or have read "Rising in Consciousness: The San Francisco Lecture Series", then this is basically that volume. The editing is slightly different, with certain passages removed or re-written, but the sequence of chapter material and wording follows almost identically. (The editing of "The World is New" seems to have reduced its overall number of pages by 40 or so.) And the preface to "The World is New" mentions that it is based on "The First, Second, and Third San Francisco Lecture Series." Also, I'm not sure, but having heard many of Goldsmith's tapes, it seems the language of "Rising in Consciousness..." seems a bit more of his style of talking.

Again, an excellent book, but you may be disappointed to get it if you already have a copy of "Rising...". I give the book a three, only because I have the feeling that the language isn't as true to the original as it should have been. And when comparing the two, I personally prefer the language of "Rising in Consciousness".
I am a follower of Goldsmith therefore I have never read one of his books that I did not get something from. This book is one of my top picks.
