com User, 10 years ago. This is a great book. I almost didn't purchase it b/c as a "starving student," I try to avoid purchasing expensive textbooks. But this book is fabulous. A much needed reference book for all doctors. Published by Thriftbooks. com User, 15 years ago.

Bought it because it was a recommended text at my medical school, and I have to say I'm disappointed. The histology pictures are in black and white and pretty terrible in quality. The chapters are for the most part short and concise, and written well, but they seem to be lacking the detail I need to understand the subject matter. The anatomy chapters are just ok...much better books available for this. Also the book is outdated (too be expected when its this old tho). The chapters discuss molecular biology where appropriate, but is really outdated. Overall just an ok book, if your school recommends other books as well, maybe try those first.

Wish they would come out with a new edition.

Helpful reference text for medical school.
Xcorn
Concise and clear. Obviously not comprehensive, sometimes to a fault, but a very good foundational text for my use as a medical student.

Great!

The book is really succinct- it really just gets to the point for any given topic making it a solid book for med students who don't have much time. Don't expect to learn any anatomy from if though, the pictures for the anatomy are horrible.

Well written. Teaches quickly. Decent for reference. Really, if you want to brush up on your MSK knowledge, you won't regret buying this book.

This was the text for a class in med school. Very basic and easy to read, but hardly a tool for use of referencing.
