His knowledge of heavenly topics seems almost angelic, and for this reason his friends recorded many of his sayings.FR PAUL OF MOLL: BENEDICTINE WONDER-WORKER contains a brief sketch of his life, a large number of his wonders, some of his letters, and a long list of his holy sayings, which alone are worth the price of the book. Further, it contains Pope St. Gregory the Great's short biography of St. Benedict, to whom Fr. Paul of Moll was especially devoted and whom he particularly fostered as a most powerful patron saint. Also included is an explanation of the St. Benedict medal, the most indulgenced medal in the Church, and one whose use Fr. Paul especially advocated. Fr. Paul of Moll is undoubtedly and extraordinary saint. He was often beset by the devils, regularly used the discipline on himself, and had numerous apparitions of Our Lord, Our Lady, the Saints and the Poor Souls in Purgatory. The faithful flocked to him for prayers and advice. And three years after his death, his body was found in a state of incorruption.

I am really enjoying reading the book, it's very interesting. I just have a problem with the way it was shipped, it was shipped with another item in the box and the cover & pages were all bent up... A bit disappointed, when I bought a New book. Maybe they should think about putting in a plastic bag.

I love this book and it opened up a lot of food for thought. He opened my eyes to what a wonderful man St. Benedict was. He teaches us a lot about purgatory in this book and how to love God. What I can't understand is why this holy man is not a Saint! I have already been granted a favor from Father Paul and St. Benedict.

Great Book!

John 14:12 states that "greater works" will be done by those who believe in Jesus. This man is the epitome of that promise.

arrived in great shape
I came across this wonderful book when I was going through a difficult time in my life and having read St. Leonard of port Maurice's depressing sermon on how few Catholics were going to make it to Heaven. I came away from reading St. Leonard thinking God must be some kind of a monster if that were true, though St. Leonard was apparently addressing many penitents in his own parish that were making sacriligeous confessions and communions. After struggling through much scruples and troubles, I came across the saintly Fr. Paul's book. He was a priest in the last century that had the same gifts that Padre Pio had, essentially - bilocation, the gift of reading hearts in the confessional, exorcism abilities, attacks by the devil, but never seemed to lose his temper with anyone except for women that had done their own children in whom he called 'unnatural mothers.' He attributed all miracles worked by his intercession to St. Benedict, Our Lord and His Blessed Mother. The book contains excerpts and anecdotes from people that knew and loved Fr. Paul, as well as many of his wonderful letters he wrote on the love of God for man. He said that if one said - Oh Love, O Great Love, O Infinite Love of God many times a day one would gain much in the way of spiritual perfection. He told of a woman who had attended a catholic retreat, undoubtedly heavily influenced by Jansensist attitudes, where the priests were telling the retreat members that the number of souls saved were as few as the leaves left on the trees in winter when the rest had fallen. She told Fr. Paul it made her upset to hear such a thing and left immediately and asked him if she did correctly. He said - of course - to say such a thing is to offend greatly the mercy and Love of God.
Fr. Paul was also visited many times by the souls of purgatory asking for prayers and aside from encouraging all his penitents to enroll themselves in the wearing of the brown scapular he also encouraged them to enroll themselves in the blue scapular of The Immaculate Heart, for it carries multiple plenary indulgences specifically for the release of souls from purgatory by those enrolled in it who will pray for the holy souls.
A picture of Fr. paul's incorrupt body is included in the volume. He predicted that the tomb of St. Joseph will be found to the great rejoicing of the faithful - something which has not occurred yet. There is also a short biography of St. Benedict at the end of the book. One cannot come away from reading this book without being inspired to pray novenas to St. Benedict and without a true love for St. Benedict and Our Lord for His wonders He has wrought through His saints. It is a very positive book for those inclined to despair, depression and scruples to read. The letters on the love of God are very good for souls troubled by worry and those d words.
