Lodato took me deep into the heart and mind of a girl as real as any girl I might know. A quick read...the kind that makes you sorry when it's over. That a sequel should bring us the heart and mind of a mature Mathilda is a consummation devoutly to be wished.

I couldn't put this book down. It tears at the very fabric of the human soul, so hold on...hold on tight

I was really just getting the feel for Mathilda and the book ended. There was so much more I needed to know after such an inspiring start. I've read Edgar and Lucy and their characters were so well fleshed out and with a satisfying sense of closure. Poor Mathilda Savitch!

In review I might only day that I have been given a fortune in the printed page and books find me in some supernatural way.
Victor Lodato is more than a gifted writer. His stories are the gift. If only I could find more like him.
Galubel
Not Victor Ladato's best work. A field day for stream of consciousness; ramblings of grief. Having read Edgar &Lucy first, this novel doesn't measure up to the brilliance of that one.
If teenage angst is a type of psychosis, this book is its introduction and existential conclusion.
Yanki
love this book!

Liked Mathilda, rest of characters weren't likable at all. Did not care for the ending-very ambiguous. What really happened to Helene?
Brilliant.
A year ago, I had the sweet pleasure of reading the first chapter.
I couldn't get the book out of my mind--so gripping, clever, fun, and simultaneously dark. All that from three pages.
After a year of wetting my appetite (and building exotic expectations), I truly wasn't one bit disappointed. Lovely Lovely Lovely
