Andrew Arden, QC, has been described as the godfather of housing law by Chambers. He has written several textbooks on the subject and appeared in a number of important cases before the House of Lords. He founded the housing boutique Arden Chambers in 1993, where he remains head of chambers; his practice also includes local government law. In his spare time, he has written four novels under his own name and four thrillers under a pseudonym.
He is Emeritus professor of Law at the University of Bristol.
