Common sense as a topic barely enters into it. Rather, this book is an introduction to jurisprudence as understood in England in 1912 -it has the distinct feel of being compiled from lectures for freshmen. Jurisprudence, as the author uses the term is a general set of notions about the nature and purposes of law, with Anglo-American Common Law, the Bürgerliche Gesetz and the Code Napoleon as the best and most modern legal systems This is not what I would have expected from the title.
