This book shows lots of techniques to add texture to your material or paper (or any project you work on). Even if you don't like the colors chosen for the projects that are in the book, just image them in colors you like. This book gives me inspiration, and I can imagine embellishing on it to further enhance the project, to add new dimension and to make it my own.

I was very excited about this book after reading the positive reviews, but was severely disappointed when I received it. The projects illustrated in the book are not attractive or inspiring. The colors schemes are muddy and lack contrast and most of the pieces are overworked, which makes it difficult to see any techniques worth trying. Only a few of the projects were presented as finished art pieces. Techniques are only generally outlined and would be difficult to emulate.

Save your money.
