Since I live in New England I know very little about the history of the State of Georgia. These stories are presented in a way that relates to both the history of Georgia and the history of the United States. I am thoroughly enjoying the variety of tales. One enchanting story tells of ghostly monks singing in Latin. It turns out that these were probably monks who had come from Spain endeavoring to convert the native American Indians. I read these stories at bedtime but somehow they aren't "scary"; just a spooky kind of fun with history thrown in...inspiring in its' own way. A great read!
