Books related to A Treasure Worth Seeking. A well-told tale, with an intriguing romantic background. by Art Davison on December 15, 2019.

A Treasure Worth Seeking book. Heroine is a doormat. It is by Sandra Brown, under an earlier pen name of Rachel Ryan. It was published in 1982, and has a very dated feel appropriate to the year that it was published in. This book reads like it is from 1982.

Erin...After years of searching for the brother she'd never known, Erin O'Shea had finally found his San Francisco address. She stood on the doorstep, unaware that she was about to walk into a shocking drama of family lies—and to meet an intriguing, infuriating man who would change her life.

Lance...He was a G-man for the government's toughest cases—like the big-money scam involving Erin's long-lost brother. But although Lance was immediately attracted to her, he never dreamed that his feelings would drive him to break every rule in the book—and put his career and even Erin's future on the line.

A story about a woman who is searching for her brother -- each had been adopted by different families when their mother gave them up.
When the woman knocks at the door of the house to which she has tracked her brother, she is greeted by a government agent who is also trying to track down the brother.
Over time, the woman and the agent get together and fall in love. The brother is found murdered so she never gets to meet him but she becomes close friends with his widow. Starts off slowly but it gradually turns into a good story.
Although this is a typical romance novel love story, Ms. Brown writes it so that you want a happy ending for the heroine Erin O'Shea. Without giving away anything from the book, the story is sad in parts, but sweet throughout. I do warn you though, the book felt like it was the writers outlet to use every "big word of the day" that she has learned over the last twenty years. Words that I had never heard, much less used before even though I am a voracious reader with a pretty decent vocabulary were thrown in for what seemed like no other reason than to impress the reader. So, read the book, it's worth your time if your at the beach, but don't forget to take your dictionary, and possibly your thesaurus along too.
Another of Sandra Brown's romance novels, but this one has some suspense emerging. Adopted Erin goes in search of her biological brother Kenneth. When she mistakenly addresses federal agent as her brother, she has a feeling something is not right, mainly because of his appearance. Erin bonds with her sister-in-law Melanie and together they face adversity. This story is entertaining, but also a page- turner; have to know what happens next.
Not impressed with lack of information in the death of the brother, why would someone kill him and leave the money? Good loves story but the whole book was very shallow, the sex overtook what good have been a good book!! Disappointing to say the least!
I love Sandra Brown and have read many of her books. This one must have been written early on. It was complete nonsense. The characters were all fluff and non-believable, and the premise was ridiculous. The male lead attacks the female lead and then she can't help herself from being drawn to him? He was a jerk and she was a feminist's nightmare. If that sounds fun to you go for it. Otherwise read one of her better books instead.
I'm sorry, but I really didn't find any excitement in the story line. The characters were ok, but a litter too over bearing.
I am never disappointed when I read a book by Sandra Brown. I love stories of love and she is a master of these kinds of books. She also writes suspense/love books and I love those as well. She is one of my favorite authors and I read a lot so I have sampled many books by other authors. You won't miss if you read her books!
The story was entertaining, but definitely a Sandra Brown novel. I have long read her work and, though the details differ, the structure is the same.Once you have read two or three of her novels, the reader understands and expects to see the formula around which the story will be developed.
