The Plague Dogs book
The Plague Dogs book. Adams asked himself the question, "How would a dog interpret the world?" and got a lot of great ideas from it. And, as I mentioned before, there's a lot of talk about humanity's responsibility towards the animals. Most of the novel is an extremely detailed description of the dog's struggle to find food on the high moors, with side chapters detailing the actions of the local shepherds, baffled scientists, shady politicians and the efforts of the yellow press to turn the story into a series of sensationalist articles.
