For Rachel Boyd, documenting the lives of indigenous people in the Venezuelan rain forest was meant to be the chance of a lifetime. When she witnesses and films the organised massacre of an entire village it turns into a fight for much more than her own survival. In London, there are two weeks to go until the climate-change summit at Chequers. For Rachel's father, Mark Boyd - ex-husband, ex-activist, ex-green-advisor to the Prime Minister - a chance for redemption. Then a car-bomb destroys the Piccadilly underpass. An unknown group of eco-warriors claims responsibility. 'A taste of things to come,' they warn, unless the new coalition government immediately implements the environmental policies they promised. But nothing is quite what it seems. A terrifying conspiracy is unravelling, reaching from the highest tiers of Whitehall to remotest Venezuelan rain forest. And Mark Boyd can blow the whistle. But he needs his daughter's help to do it. Can she get to London before her enemies get to her?

Was an interesting and intriguing plot that sadly ended to abruptly, after the entire novel built to a head, the final wrap up was done in a page. Was quite the let down with no feeling of a real ending…. (On a positive note, this had very few and no serious grammatical errors so prevalent to many of the modern E-book novels today, to a big thumbs up for the editing staff of the novel)

Loved this book. very well written, keeps you engrossed from beginning to end. Fun to try to get ahead of the story to see if I could guess the outcome. Recommend it very highly

Very Old Chap
Great. Takes you between London, Downing street and parliament to Venezuela and its rain forests and back to Oxford many times. Always interesting and a gripping read. Recommended.

I liked the amazonas part of the book; I really couldn't put it down. Events in London were another matter. Characters were unbelievable; Mark Boyd, incredibly gullible. Too many things were left totally unresolved.

It was a good story, but they left you hanging at the end. That may have been the whole purpose of the book. The story ended with nothing resolved.
My first woodland book.read very well. liked bis vernacular and diction. The story was rather plain though an could have used a little more spice. Overall pretty good. Causal read
