The book initially had some promise but the bad grammar, numerous spelling errors and poor character development spoiled it. It was also written in a somewhat childish manner as though for a 10 year old. Repetitive 'skull smashing' and decapitations and rib crushing demonstrated poor imagination. Although the plot is somewhat compelling, the only saving grace in this novel, it certainly isn't enough to persuade me to buy the next in the series.

Ok, this book isn't the smoothest or the most grammatically correct you will ever read but the story behind is well crafted, with nicely intersecting plots. The characters are well developed with the lines of hero and villain nicely blurred on some of them. I enjoyed this book and will continue to read the series. The series also has some amazing art work, check the website.
