The story of Noah and his ark, but not quite the way you remember it from Sunday School.

Because we choose the right politicians? Is there even such a thing as a right politician? What did Jesus say? Three times in the book of Revelation we see the prayers of all God’s people being poured out on the kingdom of the world. And they are remarkably powerful and effective. More effective and powerful than the rulers of an empire.

The antediluvian (alternatively pre-diluvian or pre-flood) period is the time period chronicled in the Bible between the fall of humans and the Genesis flood narrative in the biblical cosmology. The term was coined by Thomas Browne. The narrative takes up chapters 1–6 (excluding the flood narrative) of the Book of Genesis. The term found its way into early geology and science until the late Victorian era. Colloquially, the term is used to refer to any ancient and murky period.

Imagine the last, wild days before the end of a high-tech civilization and a cast of familiar characters thrust into unfamiliar settings. This is the story of Noah and the Ark like you've never read it before.

This is a pretty well written tale about the world prior to Noah's flood. You probably think right away of some primative society: wrong! Antediluvian sets the Noah story in a high-tech world where much of the solar system has been colonized. In that world, Noah's family is a ruling dynasty of the Solar Union, the King Priest and his family. This family governs the warmer inner planets while the Outer World Federation controls the worlds from Jupiter outward. All these outer world people live in cities under domes, and they long for a "warm world." Thus a huge war begins. The characters are really rather well developed and the story is engaging. There are high tech elements and science fiction style equipment, but they do not dominate the book. Instead the human interactions are where this author shines. The book is fairly accurate to the spirit of the Genesis accounts, but is not a Bible study, although God (Adam's God) does make some appearences in the story. Indeed, I found this book to be a good read and worth the money.

The story read best as straight science fiction. The characters shared very little with what I think of when considering the people in the Genesis story. Noah's family was a bit dysfunctional.

The is a very good and engaging introduction to the work of R.P. Nettelhorst. It is a novel concerning the world during the time of the biblical Noah. The story is fast moving, very captivating, and not at all what you would expect. Despite a science fiction tone and ideas that will stretch your imagination, the tale never violates any of the facts of the bibilical record. In addition, the characters are well developed: very realistic and emotionally true.

One of the best Sci-Fi books I've ever read. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE BIBLICAL ACCOUNT OF THE BOOK OF NOAH COULD POSSIBLY BE A SCIENCE "NON-FICTION"!!! If I had Pete Jackson's, Lucas, Cameron's or Spielberg's money, I'd turn it into a screenplay and produce it!

This book took an interesting twist on the story of Noah's ark, but it fell short of inclusion of God in the story. The depiction of the family does not seem to ring well with the biblical version of the character. The sons are too contemporary for my liking. There is, in my opinion, a huge disconnect with the bible version to make this totally fiction with no basis on the original.

If you want a good novel, you have it. If you want a story about the flood of Noah, you will find this story lacking in biblical truth.
