I came upon this book in my local natural food store and was instantly drawn to the photos and its simplicity.

First thing, In your mind, change the title to WHOLE FOOD RECIPES if you have a problem with the wording.

I say that because each time I handed someone the book to go through, they instantly went into "I'm not a raw foodie", I don't eat raw food", or "I'm not going through detox nor do I want to go through that".

Then I showed them the pictures and read the ingredients to them, and their eyes lit up and they started to get hungry and want what I was describing.

This book has awesome photos to go along with the recipes to show you what is possible when eating Whole unprocessed food.
And BTW, some of it is processed, by you, with whole natural ingredients.

This book totally helped turn me back in the direction I used to walk regarding how I ate. I have made several of the items in this book and have passed around for sampling. So far, everyone loves what I have given them and is surprised when I tell them its still live food, like the cookies.

I have now purchased this book as a gift for 3 other people and they have adopted healthier eating in their diet without going through detox. However let me say, that now they all know they need it because they feel better when they eat or drink this kind of food.

I will also add here that about a month after I started eating from this book and other similar recipes, people started commenting on what was different with my face and skin. Just saying....

Also at this price, you can't go wrong.

Long time vegetarians, we have decided to go RAW. Now, it's nearly impossible to go all raw, as beans and some other foods are needed/required/wanted...but, this is an excellent book to begin the process with a really well defined detox and then move into the recipes. I have really liked the salad extras...it is so easy to get into a rut with salad, but this book just has some awesome ideas. What's more, the book was recommended by the Organic Farm nearby who has a Chef on staff and she insures that they actually seed a large variety of the items needed for the recipes! For me that is a big time BONUS. If you are reading this review and have not checked into a local organic farm for produce, I really recommend that as well. For the $$ each week, there is no better deal around!

not the kind superstitious people would like to experience but a simple fact: with eczema for years just few days following this diet: itching and scratching are gone !!! If you're lucky enough to have that kind of eczema: the good news there is a healthy simple solution to your misery, I witnessed it ! Of course you have to be ready to play the game: if you persist to eat process food, sugar (not only in cakes or ice cream but also in white rice, pasta, white bread, etc.), treated meat with hormones and other toxins, etc. it means you are not ready ... and by the way the recipes are also delicious !!

I love raw dishes and this cookbook includes some really good choices. It's already my go-to book for Puttanesca sauce and I love the nut "rice" and crunch salad. Looking forward to trying some more recipes

Every recipe i've tried so far has had incredible flavors and very easy make. Raw is not boring with this book. And bonus, everything can be made in just a few minutes - perfect for bringing to parties. It also offers 5 day cleanse and 3 day juice detox programs at the beginning of the book. Great for kickstart. Highly recommend this gorgeous book.

Great Ideas and meals and the Detox is easy to add into anyones eating patten meat eater or not. All good for a start to a healthier you.
I am not 100% raw - or anywhere close. But I do find the cuisine and way of food preparation to be one of the most interesting and creative. In this sense, I love to collect raw food books to see the ways in which people are approaching raw foods. This book has a range of recipes from simple to complex. Not the most comprehensive book in terms of volume or number of recipes... my favorite author is Ani Phyo; but a book with beautiful photos, some new recipes - and of course the inspiration and reminder about why raw food preparation is so fun, challenging, and creative.
