I was tracking down some beloved favorites, I didn't realized the author illustrator was the same as the Courdory bear books, but if you look at the artwork you can see how very similar his style is. Unfortunatly this book fostered in be a 20 year beleife that bats ate flowers,,, so boo for the bad information there, but otherwise its a perfectly LOVELY little book and sweet short story with beautiful two color illustration.

I used this with storytimes and the story was too involved for the preschoolers in a group setting. May work better one-on-one or for older children
