I can't believe this book is out of print. It's wonderful. It describes the life of Bentley Beaver from birth through death and is very emotionally resonant. It's great for young kids who are just beginning to understand or ask questions about death. I wish it were more widely available so that I could recommend it to more people!

Read this book from the public library with my own son; he loved it and referred to it over his primary school years. It seemed to help him with a lot of impending loss in his young iife (both grandmothers, his dentist, a music teacher) all between the ages of 6 to about 10).
