However, the many Bonnie and Clyde-like references here might be beyond most of the fans of the series, resulting in some confusion and lost jokes. Trying to help, they don disguises and visit the bank to ask for a loan ("The richer we look, the more money they'll give us," reasons Moo). At the bank, though, they are mistaken for famous robbers, the Bazooka Sisters, and their innocent actions are interpreted as criminal behavior.

The Minnie and Moo books are excellent for reluctant readers. Cazet has a great sense of humor as his two heroines deal with trying to help solve the farmer's financial problems. My favorite line from the book is when Moo reassures Minnie that even though they look like the Bazooka Sisters on the Wanted poster and the Bazooka Sisters are wanted "Dead or Alive," this is just the bank's way of making people feel special, "Even if you're dead, they still want you."

My students love this book. Minnie and Moo bumble their way through this story without realizing that they may be doing something wrong. The kids always have good commentary about each mistake or assumption that the characters take which has allowed for expanded discussion with my Elementary ESL students.

This book is hilarious! Minnie and Moo are great characters that kids enjoy visiting them time and again. In this book Minnie and Moo inadvertently rob a bank. They seem to always get themselves into trouble when they are trying so hard to do something good or kind. The best part is the farmer suspects these two cows are not ordinary bovines, but his wife thinks he is a bit off for thinking that. Parents can appreciate the humor too so everyone enjoys reading time. We love Minnie and Moo!
